Cost/Pricing:
In every buisiness there are shortcuts that can lower the cost of a service. And as with every other product or service you purchase it can be those same shortcuts that cost you more in the long run. When pricing a web site or CDROM it is a careful balance amongst the needs of the client and the operation costs of the developer; below is a list of some factors to consider when shopping for a developer.

  • Budget: How much can you spend?
  • Scalability: Will the site be expected to grow with the company with little effort?
  • Delivery medium: Will there be printing, duplication and literature costs?
  • Development Time: How long will it take to develop?
  • Purpose: What is the intended purpose of the site or CDROM
  • Original Media: Will the developer be creating original graphics, audio or video?
  • Platform: Will the site or CD be expected to conform to multiple operating systems and/or web environments?
  • Extras: Will there be any hardware or third party services required in the process?
  • Updates: Will the site need regular updates?
