CDROM Design Process:
The process for developing a CDROM is very similar to
that of developing a web
site. The only difference is the delivery medium
for the phases of development and design time (depending
on whether the Audio and Video are developed internally,
externally or obtained from a bulk media or royalty
free source).
- Contact: The client contacts
the developer and communicates the want or need
for a particular service. (Web site, cdrom, audio,
video, custom graphics, advertisement, etc...) Sometimes
the client chooses to do this through a formal document
known as an RFP (Request for Proposal).
- Determine Purpose: The developer
responds with a series of questions to determine
the clients needs and establish whether or not the
project falls within the scope of the their skills
and availability.
